Jeffrey G. Pollitt

Jeff is a Certified Family Law Specialist, is listed in Best Lawyers® and has maintained Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent® peer review rating for over two decades.

“The practice of law is for ladies and gentlemen.” This central tenet of Jeff’s practice serves as an enduring reminder of the high standards of conduct, courtesy and professionalism to which Jeff, his partners, Jennika McKusick and Lindsay Cohen, and his staff, Aletha James and Lindsay Hiestand, strive to always adhere—with clients, opposing parties, their counsel and the Court.

Jeff’s practice encompasses all aspects of divorce litigation, with special emphasis on:

  • highest-level of complex business and professional practice valuations,
  • high-asset tracing, forensic accounting, commingling and property characterization,
  • appeals,
  • high-income support issues, and
  • litigating and consulting on prenuptial agreements.

In 2020, Jeff completed a 10-year appointment to the Attorney Discipline Probable Cause Committee. Viewed by Jeff as the most consequential professional contribution of his career, the Committee scrutinizes State Bar charges of unethical or unprofessional conduct against lawyers in order to protect the public and address the needs of lawyers who may not meet the State Bar’s standards.

Jeff is a frequent presenter in advanced continuing education for lawyers, paralegals and CPAs related to multiple disciplines, including family law, trial tactics, expert witness examinations, probate, trusts and estates and accounting.
